Glorious weather greeted Marburg Paceway last saturday & the good sized crowd enjoyed another fantastic day
of country harness racing which is the heart beat of the sport in QLD.
The race card for the day included 5 pre-race trials & 5 quality race fields.

Race 1 kicked off the 5 race card with an impresive victory going to the John McMullen trainer "Whata major tease".
A mare with lots of natural ability & by the looks of it some attitude to match.
A eye catching run from the Steve Towns trainer mare "Sixty Kay Zone" who was forced to sit 3 wide early
before breezing in the death seat for most of the race.

Race 2 saw a hard fought win by the Peter Jones trained & driven "Lord of abbey" who breezed out side the leader
for most of the race."Still to come",who lead the entire race,picked herself off the canvas on the turn for home & battle on gamely for 2nd.

Race 3 was won by pole sitter "Halleys my girl" who lead through out."Diablo dancer" & favoutite for the race "Bombers mission"

Race 4 was dominated & won by the Jenny Halliday trained "Scenic rim".The 9YO son of Panorama is a standing start specialist
& proved again that he is one tough hombre to beat from the standing start."Looks like leroy" gave Jenny a quinella when her mare
ran a good 2nd.

A good quality field of "R1" runners assembled for Race 5 with the David Litzow driven "Shorty noonan" prevailing.The Lockyer Waters
trained Favourite "Shakenloose" ran an eye catching 2nd from well back in the field & one of the punters fancys "Zippys last" ran 3rd
